Mr. Diego de la Mora joined Barnhart in January 2016 as Vice President, Mexico Head. He brings with him more than 15 years experience in the Mexican Real Estate Industry, having held roles in equity acquisitions, asset management, asset sales, risk management, and distressed assets. Mr. de la Mora has experience in investing on behalf of Public Companies, Private Equity Funds, a CKD, and for the largest developer of industrial, retail and residential projects in Mexico.

Prior to joining Barnhart, Mr. de la Mora was head of Equity Investments for MetLife Real Estate Investors, where he was in charge of acquisitions, and asset management of commercial real estate across all property types in Mexico.

Before Metlife, he worked for more than 5 years at Capital I where he closed on development projects equivalent to more than 6,000 housing units, and land acquisitions for the development of  more than 13,000 housing units.

In a previous role, Mr. de la Mora was project manager at G. Accion (now Prologis), having being responsible in the acquisition, development and sale of more than 500 residential units.

Mr. de la Mora holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
